Motivation, while its safe to say it can be just as elusive a Christmas tree in July, it’s not an impossible find(Christmas Shops can be found in every lil tourist trap town ever built). So where does one find their mojo? their gumption if you will? Some of us can be moved to action with a small nudge from a friend, family member or even our own dare I say; conscience? Let’s face it the vast majority will either pass on these well meaning suggestions, or jump into it with a quickness that just as quickly fades away. Taking the path to futhering ones career, fitness or even just some kind of massive effort to try the unthinkable, is fraught with unknowns. It is often said that we are our own worst enemy in times of struggle, or hesitation. Pointing out the reasons we slowed down our pursuits, (or just gave them up) that in of itself is worthy of a Netflix special. Work, Family, money (the lack of and the abundance of), but really it almost ALWAYS comes down to one thing: TIME

Time, the one thing man has yet to wrangle, control, dominate or even truly understand. We spend our collective lives chasing it, looking for new ways to use it to our advantage. The beauty of it all is that TIME is really there for us day in, day out & in our hour of need it never fails to rear its elusive specter, for us to either marvel at or blatantly ignore. When you find yourself contemplating any endeavor, that requires more of you than you would like to give, remember that once it’s begun, it’s done! The fear of the looming spectacle of time, effort and energy is just that. A spectacle. Picture yourself in your own comedy special, your own blockbuster movie and know that your jokes won’t fall flat, and you the hero won’t fail. Perhaps you are ready to make the jump from wishing you could do that one thing or you’re already on that long journey, maybe you’ve convinced yourself that a sprint towards the finish line isn’t possible or leaving the gate at all is a waste of time. The reality is quite the opposite as you have managed to already put your mindset in a framework to do what ever you want or need. Ignore your inner hater and remember there’s a reason no one stores a compass on the shelf but on their person instead. While it may look snazzy and chic up on that shelf it’ll never point you in the direction you want to go until its in your hand and YOU take the TIME to read it and follow through.
